About

My name is Reshma Mituram. I’m new here. It’s nice to finally step out of the shadows where I’ve remained hidden for so long. You must be thinking, “That’s an interesting logo.” Well, I think it is and it’s a lot more than just a hummingbird coming to rest on a branch with maple leaves. You see, I was born and raised in Trinidad, which is one of the islands of the twin island nation of Trinidad and Tobago, also known as the Land of the Hummingbird (see the connection already?). I then got a touch of restlessness and emigrated to Canada on January 15, 2007 where I was met with my first winter storm. What can I say, I blew in with the storm, so to speak.

Since hummingbirds do migrate through Canada I thought it was rather clever of me to combine the two symbols for an awesome logo. They are a symbol of good luck and hope. They are also associated with love, life, beauty, joy, and freedom.

So it is with great hope and joy that I present to you my first indie-published collection, Reflections on Love, Life, and Loss. I hope you’ll like it and if not, there will be more. I’ve been writing for a very long time and cannot wait to start sharing my other collections with you.
