During the pandemic’s early days, a friend and I explored Ward’s Island, experiencing nature’s calming influence. I photographed a double-crested cormorant, resonating with its introspective solitude. Years later, I chose this image for my poetry collection, “Reflections on Love, Life & Loss,” symbolizing serenity and deeper emotional themes.
